For those who may be interested, the editing system is built on a 2000-vintage IBM Netvista (which is a squat black-painted "tower" case computer that is very similar in most other respects to an IBM Aptiva from the same era) and this employs an XFCE Window Manager (which looks a bit like an Apple-Mac) on a Linux operating system.
